Norman was my uncle and although we didn't see each other much, he left a huge impact on me.  When I was young, he gave us a large stack of 45rpm records.  They were mostly discards, but there were recordings of different styles of music I knew nothing about- including a cover of the jazz classic "cast your fate to the wind".  He turned me on to jazz!  You never know how you might change a person. Thanks for the reminders of his love for "classic"   technology- radio, motorcycles, classic cars.  I loved all those things about him. Thanks for the pics of him with family and later.  I remember the early years and am glad to see he had friends in his later years. 73 indeed- you will not be forgotten, Uncle Norman.

Norm was a great friend of mine due to our mutual enjoyment of ham radio, and a lot of years chatting on the air.

Norm and I met on the air because we were both interested in AM transmissions on the amateur bands. We were both involved in using "boat anchors" (Referring to vintage radio equipment from the past). And both of us shared a background in radio broadcasting.

I was shocked when Daniel contacted me to tell me of his dad's passing last Thursday.  Norm never let me know he was battling cancer but he did make comments about having physical issues that he was dealing with. I was aware that he was seeing a lot of different doctors. 

I had just talked to Norm on the air on Wednesday morning and detected no reasons to believe that there were any life threatening issues at that point in time. Norm never mentioned anything to me about his ongoing battles with cancer.

In retrospect, now I have a better understanding of the true meaning of his comments.

RIP Norman. You were a great friend!
And God bless all Norman's family members.

Norm was an angel on earth, and he has finally founds his wings.  He will be missed greatly by those he has touched through his generosity.  He truly left an impact in this world.

Norm's Earthly journey is complete. May he now be pain free and have great propagation always. So sorry for your loss.  He was someone who left this world too young.  I will always remember Norman an energetic ever curious spirit who was an explorer, tinkerer and problem solver.
