Patricia "Patty" Ann McKevitt, 74, passed away on September 27, 2026. Born November 25, 1951, Patty lived in West Palm Beach, Florida, and will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection by all who knew her.
Patty graduated from Lake Worth High School in 1971 and went on to earn a nursing assistant certification at Palm Beach Junior College. Her steady dedication and strong work ethic shaped a life of service—grounded in faith, guided by compassion, and carried out with the kind of determination that never needed to announce itself to be felt.
After high school, Patty worked for the FHP giving driving tests. Following college, she began her nursing career at Dr.'s Hospital in Lake Worth, FL, later moving into private practice with a children’s surgeon, Dr. Toufanian. She completed her professional journey with Biomet 3-I, a dental implant company in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Patty retired in 2021, and in retirement she embraced the freedom to travel—visiting her niece, Cheyenne, in Tennessee, and delighting in the farm and its animals; returning to St. Augustine, where she especially loved the second floor glass gallery at the Lightner Museum; and spending time with her sister friend, Suzanne, in Pittsburgh. She also spent many weekends with her best friend Lori, valuing the comfort of loyal companionship and shared laughter.
Patty married her high school sweetheart George Davidson Sr., and together they welcomed their beautiful son, George Davidson Jr. Years later, she married John McKevitt. Patty was predeceased by her father Mario Vecchitto, mother Carolyn Jarvis, stepfather Charlie Jarvis and brother Michael Vecchitto. She leaves behind her beloved son George Davidson Jr. and his wife Brandi Davidson, her dear cousin Denise (Buck) Durling, her sister Elizabeth (Kyle) Sarradet, nephew Benjamin, and nieces Jenelle, Jeanette, Kristen (Bill) Martin, and Cheyenne (Pete) Oronos whom she had a very close relationship with, and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Patty’s love of life showed in the simple joys she made memorable: music and dancing, and going as often as she could to see John play with his band. She enjoyed shooting and cooking for her family, and she cherished her friends—whether playing cards, traveling, or offering advice that was equal parts caring and candid. Her humor had a way of easing the moment, and her loyalty made people feel safe, seen, and supported.
A faithful presence in her community, Patty volunteered with the Guardian Angels for 4 years and served as a C.O.P. (Citizen on Patrol) for several years. In each role, she brought the same dependable spirit that marked every part of her life: showing up, helping where needed, and doing so with quiet strength.
Patty will be remembered as a good friend, a loving cousin, a great sister, a beloved aunt and a wonderful mother. Her infectious smile and big hugs were always ready to give—an unmistakable signature of the warmth she carried and the love she so freely shared, even if she was a little stubborn at times.
