

Dr. Paul Francis Clear died August 31, 2018, at Pacifica Senior Living in West Palm Beach, Florida. He was born March 23, 1944, in Teaneck, New Jersey, to parents John and Ursula Clear. In addition to his parents, he was pre deceased by his sister Eileen. He is survived by his brother John, his sister Janet, his children Annette and Timothy, five grandchildren, and many cousins and friends.
Paul was a graduate of Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell, New Jersey, Manhattan College (Baccalaureate degree in Engineering) in New York City, and Stevens Institute of Technology (Masters and Doctorate degrees in Chemical Engineering) in Hoboken, New Jersey. He worked in research and development for several major corporations in New Jersey before moving to Boca Raton and Delray Beach, Florida, where he worked as a consultant and pursued his love of outdoor activities for more than 30 years. Paul loved his rescue dogs; working as The House Doctor on friends' house and garden projects; scuba diving; and many competitive sports, especially tennis, golf, sailboat racing, and running marathons. He also loved classical, rock, and bluegrass music, and had played drums since childhood and banjo as an adult.
The family wishes to thank Pacifica Senior Living staff and caregivers for their excellent care and many kindnesses during Paul's long stay with them. Thanks also to the caregivers from TrustBridge Health, Inc., for compassionate, palliative hospice care during Paul's last months. Contributions in Paul' memory, if so desired, may be made to a favorite charity or the Alzheimer's Association.
