Robert William Bishop

Bob was born on Feb 2, 1942 in Burlington Wisconsin and moved with his family to Lake Worth in 1947. Bob played little league baseball with lifelong friends, graduated from Lake Worth High School (Class of ‘59) and spent his career building and growing a successful bottle water company, Bishop’s Water for 64 years. Bob was extremely proud when his daughter Kim partnered with him at Bishop’s Water and has continued the family business.

Bob married Trisha (Morris) Bishop and together they grew Bishop’s Water Company, raised two daughters and created many memories enjoying their many homes between Marathon Key Florida and Blowing Rock North Carolina.

Bob loved sports and was a dedicated Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. He spent many years playing baseball, softball and tennis. He often ended his work day walking a few holes of golf and played weekend rounds with his buddies. Bob believed in hard work, honesty and integrity. He never met a stranger. To him every person was just a friend he hadn’t met. He always saw the good in life. Bob was a true friend and shared his successes with others graciously. Many will remember Bob for his resounding cackle, big smile, and strong handshake.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert and Stephany Bishop, brother Mickey Bishop. Bob was also preceded in death by many beloved four legged friends with his faithful companion, Cookie, providing much direction and purpose over his last years.

Bob is survived by his wife of 52 years, Trisha Morris Bishop, and two daughters, Kari Kuhn (Kip), Kim Bishop (Denise Rutherford) and granddaughter Mikayla Kuhn. Cousin Marlyn (John) Steury and sons Bryant and Drew. Bob is also survived by numerous family members and his group of true and loyal friends.

We would also like to extend our appreciation to the Carlisle Palm Beach memory care staff and the Hospice nurses who cared for him in his last days.

A Gathering of Family and Friends for Robert will be held Monday, March 20, 2023 from 3pm to 5pm at Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 5pm.

Please join us at Bob’s Celebration of Life that will be held Sunday March 26, 2023 from 2pm to 7pm at Bishop’s Water Company, 2605 Kelly Lane, Lake Worth FL.
