My Dad was my best friend in life. He was not a perfect person but he was a perfect Dad. He was everything to me and the void left by his passing is a gaping whole in my soul. He inspired me and supported me and loved me in a way that cannot be described with mere words. He always told me..."I am you and you are me." I miss him every second. I love you Dad.

I found this obituary while searching for an old mentor so I could write him a thank you letter. Ron George was my Little League baseball coach and an amazing guy. He made me feel like I could do anything, telling my parents that one day people would know my name. After losing a game, he would drive to my parent's house to cheer me up. Before the season began, he would take me to the park and have me practice my pitching so I'd be ready and have an edge over the other players. He'd take the entire team for ice cream after practice. He had an enormous impact on my life and self-esteem. I happened to bump into him years ago but just chatted briefly. Recently, I had been searching for him online so I could properly thank him and let him know how his actions and kindness impacted me (I don't think he ever knew the extent). Little did I know he lived in the same state. Unfortunately, I cannot personally thank him, but I can at least publicly honor him. Thank you for all you did for me, coach.

As my 46th birthday approaches, it happens to fall on the 10 month date of my Fathers passing away. Not a day goes by without thinking of how much I loved him. We all were BLESSED to have had him for as long as we did, still not long enough though. I know he is a far better place now, but I miss my best friend and hero so much. I Love U Dad!

I was blown away when I heard of Ron's passing. I remember the times we had before he met Sandy, and after he met the love of his life. What a great father he was to David and Brian. He was a Prince among men and will be sadly missed. My deepest sympathies to Sandy, David, Brian and the entire family.

I have the wonderful privilege of being related to Ronnie. Ronnie, Sandy, Brian and David welcomed my family into their home when we were moving from one Army post to the next. They never made us feel intrusive. Their warmth, kindness and love was a gift. Ronnie continued to call every so often over these many years. Each call was always filled with love and laughter. He will always be remembered as an extremely kind and loving man to his family. I will greatly miss those phone calls. I wish the entire family much love and laughter in the memories he created with you. Thank you Ronnie for being such a blessing in my life.
