Rudolf "Rudy" Roth

Age 79 of Atlantis, FL died suddenly on Friday, May 15, 2015. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 31, 1936 but moved with his family to Chicago at a very young age where he spent his childhood, with his two sisters and four brothers. After serving in the United States Navy for two years, he moved to South Florida. He sold Xray equipment for several years before starting his own construction company in 1970 specializing in septic tank installation and commercial well drilling. Rudy was an active member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church for over 50 years serving as an usher and a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. He was a member of Gulf Stream Lodge No. 245, Free and Accepted Mason, a 33° Scottish Rite Mason, Valley of Lake Worth and Past Potentate of Amara Shriners, Palm Beach Gardens, FL. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Marcia; step-son, Lance Henrion (wife, Linda); grandchildren, Alexa and Shane Henrion of Boynton Beach, FL; sister, Marie Zimmerman (husband, Donald) of Stuart, FL; brothers, Jack Roth of Colorado Springs, CO and Walter Roth (wife, Marie) of Long Grove, IL and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his first wife, June; daughters, Libby and Melanie; sister, Dorothy Feltz; brothers, Carl and Roy Roth. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00pm on Tuesday, May 19th at Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Funeral Home, Lake Worth, FL. A funeral mass will take place at 11:00am on Wednesday, May 20th at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 345 South Military Trail, West Palm Beach, FL. Interment will follow the mass at Woodlawn Cemetery, So. Dixie Hwy., West Palm Beach, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children,
