My fondest memory of Ruth is when she and Hank Sr. stopped by my home in Davidson NC on their way from West Palm to their mountain house in NC. They stayed overnight and we laughed and talked for hours. I looked forward to this time every year until they no longer made the trip. Hank was one of the funniest people I ever met by just being himself and his biggest fan was Ruth in her own way, she had the sweetest smile toward him when he gave his jabs and told his stories. I got to know them both and still think of those times and how much I admired the love and lifetime commitment that they made to each other. I wish for all the family and friends of Ruth & Hank that you find peace in the fact they are together again in Heaven and the fact that our lives have been blessed just knowing them.
