It is with heavy hearts & great love that we share the untimely passing of Shawn Lee Bober, age 29, who passed away on May 21, 2026, far too soon. Shawn brought so much light and joy into our lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Though his life was tragically short, the impact he made on others will never be forgotten.
Shawn was born in West Palm Beach and grew up surrounded by family and lifelong friends in Palm Beach County. He attended Palm Beach Central High School, where he graduated in 2015.
Following high school, Shawn pursued his passion for engineering at the University of Central Florida, where he earned his mechanical engineering degree. During this time, Shawn fell in love with Orlando and chose to call this home. He went on to build a respected career with Lockheed Martin and was admired by coworkers and friends alike for his sharp mind, dedication, and strong work ethic. Shawn was currently studying for his Master's in Engineering.
He built a life filled with ambition, friendship, and love for those closest to him. Outside of work, Shawn enjoyed visiting all the local theme parks, his favorite being Universal Studios. His annual pass allowed him to visit almost weekly to ride his favorite ride, Jurassic World VelociCoaster. Shawn enjoyed his many adventures including annual mudding trips with his friends, fishing, music, motorcycles, four wheeling, kayaking, canoeing & traveling for work. But most of all, there was nothing more important to Shawn than spending time with his parents and sister. He loved the numerous family vacations and cruises, as well as snowboarding in Colorado & annual car shows. We will miss Shawn’s playful sense of humor, his intelligence, determination, ambition, and passion.
Shawn will be incredibly missed by his friends, family & his parents, Ron & Shelly, and his sister, Cassidy, who he deeply loved and loved him. Our mourning will also be shared by his grandparents Ralph Lajoie & Diane Mele, along with Shawn’s extended family of uncles, aunts & cousins:
Darin & Anne LaJoie (Alex, Daniel, Stephanie & daughter Zoe), Roxanne & Dan Warner, Mike Bober (Jessica & Dillon), Gloria & Carole Craig (Melanie), Kenny & Carol Bober. Shawn is predeceased by his grandmothers, Marie LaJoie & Lois Parker, grandfather Eugene Bober, Aunt Cindy Bober.
His family is grateful for the kindness and support shown during this time.
