Shelby Zimmerman Shoupe

Shelby was born in New Richmond, Ohio on July 12, 1941. She graduated from New Richmond High School Class of 1959. Shelby returned to school after raising her children and graduated from South College.

She was married to Carl Shoupe on January 28, 1961 and they were married 37 years.

Shelby moved to Florida from Ohio in 1965 to open a successful business with her husband Carl. She also worked as a certified nursing assistant working with the elderly. Shelby loved the outdoors and could be found everyday gardening in her yard... Shelby particularly loved raising orchids. Shelby loved most spending time with her family. Holidays were spent with her outstanding home cooking and hours of playing cards.

Shelby leaves to mourn her loss her daughter Carol Tognacci (Barry Tognacci) and son Kenneth Shoupe, her grandsons, Bradley Shoupe, Michael Tognacci (Kim Tognacci) Christopher Tognacci, and Andrew Tognacci (Melissa Tognacci). She leaves 3 great grandchildren: Mason Tognacci, Vincent Tognacci and Kaylee Tognacci. Shelby also leaves her Aunt Tag in Ohio and sister-in-laws in Kentucky, Posie Conley and Ruth Holt and many nieces and nephews. Shelby leaves to mourn her loss a host of life-long friends that will miss her greatly.

Shelby is preceded in death by her husband Carl Shoupe and her brother Charles “Sonny” Zimmerman.

In keeping with her wishes relatives and friends are encouraged to join us in a Celebration of Life Memorial on Sunday June 5th at Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens located at 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, FL 33461. Friends may visit from 2:00pm to 3:00pm. Services begin at 3:00pm and a reception will follow. Donations may be made in her memory to Hospice of Palm Beach County Foundation, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33407.
