

Husband, brother, son, uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather- a man who loved well and was well loved; Steve Evon Johnson went into the hands of God on a early Tuesday morning, Feb 3, 2026 at the age of 81. Steve was born to Elaine Powell and Hubert Johnson on August 20th,1944 in Kingston, Jamaica. As time went on, he met his beautiful wife Edna Johnson, in which they created a wonderful legacy with great stories to tell. He then migrated to the United States in 1979. He lived in New York for some time and then settled down in the sunshine state of Florida.
He has many brothers, sisters, cousins, grandchildren and even great-grandchildren who love him dearly.
He enjoyed family gatherings, watching tv; with is favorite show being "Sanford & son", talking about sports, especially football and eating some good ole' Jamaican food.
Steve loved to have visitors in his home and talk about anything really especially when his close friends and grandchildren came to visit.
The Johnson family wants to thank God for the privilege of knowing Steve and all the positive ways he impacted our lives. We are still grateful for the years God had bless us with knowing Steve and his funny jokes. We pray that God continues to give us strength in this season. God bless you all and be well.
