Dearest, Beautiful, Kind, Sweet, Generous Valerie! How lucky you are to have such a wonderful family. Your memorial service was perfect; just as you would have wanted and as you deserve! The energy of Love, Warmth, and mutual support was stellar. Everything was wonderful, as it should be, right down to the aquamarine table cloths. But you know this already because you were there hugging us all. Everything you ever did was over the top fabulous; your work with the Chamber of Commerce, The Youth Commission, Your Church, the Friends of Historic Rochester, Shelbark Farms, OMG... the list goes on. Losing a spouse is forever devastating. We know how much you missed Richie. You are finally back in his arms; your rock, your soulmate. You traveled through life on earth as an angel and now you are an angel in heaven. This earth wasn't big enough to contain your enormous heart. We are all blessed to have had you in our lives. I know that you and Richie will be dancing with Brenda & I at our wedding. Thank you for being my friend. Love, Harry.

Nanny, you will be deeply missed. Look down on us for we will always be looking up at you. You are one of a kind, a true shining star and you always will be. You will always live within us all, your love and compassion lives within those who were so fortunate to know you. You no longer beside us fills us with sadness and breaks our hearts but our memories shared with you will make us whole once again. I can hear your voice, see your smile and feel your love. I know you are at peace now, heaven has gained such a beautiful person and you are now our angel above as you were here below.

What can I say about this beautiful angel? We are all the better for having known Valerie. She saw only the best in everyone, had a kind word and a compliment for all, and laughed when you told her to take off her "rose colored glasses." A gentle soul, she not only cried at commercials, but would cry again just thinking about that commercial! She loved the beach, old movies, Downton Abbey, and anything Hallmark! Her greatest joy in life was her family and celebrating their joys. She is so missed, and our hearts are broken. We can take comfort in the fact that she is celebrating in Heaven with the angels that have gone before her - especially her beloved Richie and baby sister, Barbara.

I have great memories of our family driving upstate to visit you when I was a kid. I remember we rode on the sulky behind one of your horses, that was a fun day and I remember your horse Blue, as well. You and Susan surprised my Dad and flew to NY just over a year ago for his surprise 80th, what an amazing surprise that was for him! It was so great seeing both of you and we had a great time! My Dad was so thrilled! Valerie you will be so very missed by many, please rest in peace💜🙏🙏🙏
