What a wonderful woman. She made you feel part of the family. She will be missed greatly especially at fight night when some one is getting hurt or when it was someone that she liked. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family with all our love.

I am so sorry .  Was always welcome at your house and your mom made the greatest hamburgers.  She was so  nice to me too.  I remember right before you went into the Marines, your Mom invited me to go to Church with your family.  We had such a good time that day too.  Your Mom also worked at the Hospital with my Dad when she was a LPN.  She will be greatly missed.

My Nanny: Papa called you "The Queen", if you were the Queen you made me feel like a princess. I remember feeling special when you would buy me a new Church dress for Sunday. A perfect dress with matching ruffled sock and white shoes. I look back and remember you curling my hair. You made me feel so special, so loved. I will miss holding your hand and thinking it is so soft like mine. I will miss those times i hear you singing a hymnal with your soft voice. I think I still hear your voice singing "Go tell it on the Mountain". I'll miss your gentle instructions while teaching me to make apple pies, dream cookies and Hawaiian goolosh. I will miss my Hawaiian Goolosh on my birthday. When I was a teenager, we both realized that you helped create a strong and opinioned person (such as yourself). We clashed in opinions. You didn't undertand what was cool about wearing men's Looney Toon boxers and a t-shirt, but it was the style. We later respected eachothers opinions as I became a young adult. You were always proud of me. When I became a mother I had questions that you answered tp. When I faced trials and tribulations you gave me strength in your faith. You gave me strength in Bible verses and in stories. When something bad is happening in my life or I feel overwhelmed I hear your voice telling me, "And this too shall pass". I hear you telling me this now. The sadness I feel in loosing you from this earth, I hear your voice saying, "And this too shall pass". I love you! You will be missed!

Thank you for all the wonderful childhood memories you gave me! I will miss  you but know I have assurance I will see you again! Bye for now sweet Auntie! 

Buz, Lois and I are so sorry to hear about Verlie.  I will always remember meeting her on my first Sunday at Bethel.  I will never forget her warm, yet sneaky, smile and what a wonderful loving lady she was.  We are praying for you.

Dear Buz, We will forever remember the delicous  choc chip cookies we enjoyed at your house one Sun. night after church and hearing some great stories we heard that you and the boys played on Verlie. We are very sorry for your loss and will remember you in prayer.

Buz we are very sorry for your loss.  I don't know if you remember us but we went to Bethel for about five years.  Verlie was such a special loving woman, in fact God used her to encourage Vito to get his GED, she even obtIained the books for him.  Because of her he was able to get a job with the school system. My Mom loved her  many sisters but Verlie was special to her.  As children, my brother and I enjoyed summer visits from the Spooners.  As adults, we were grateful for Verlie's generosity to our parents and my Dad's extended family.  Visits with the Spooners always meant lots of love and laughter.   In the Spooner household, there was always an emphasis on faith, family and friends.  As you face this loss in your family, may your faith sustain you and your friends and family surround you.
