Victoria Claiborne, 50, passed away on May 23, 2026. Born October 17, 1975, Victoria lived in Royal Palm Beach, Florida. A woman of strength and resilience, she met life with a spirited energy and a vivid, creative spark that drew others close and left a lasting impression.
Known to many as Vicki, she grew up in West Palm Beach and graduated from Palm Beach Lakes High in 1994. Throughout her life, Vicki’s passion and vivacious presence were unmistakable—she stood out from the crowd, and those who knew her best remember that there was never a dull moment when she was near.
Vicki’s professional life consisted mainly of diligent office management and administration. She was an exceptional typist whose speed, accuracy, and attention to detail were matched by her beautiful penmanship—gifts that reflected her dedication and meticulous nature. In later years, her creativity found new expression through art and photography, and she was especially proud to have sold two prints of her work. At the time of her passing, Vicki was in the midst of writing her autobiography, thoughtfully documenting the stories, experiences, and lessons that shaped her life.
Deeply loving and deeply loved, Vicki was passionate about God and her family. She delighted in spreading smiles and considered herself a “smile collector.” She never hesitated to tell a stranger they were beautiful, and she had a remarkable gift for lifting others up through kindness, warmth, and genuine connection—leaving people a little brighter than before. She loved reading the bible in nature, and she was especially skilled in abstract drawing, writing, and realism photography. She appreciated the smallest details of life and valued community.
Vicki’s care for others extended beyond her immediate circle. She would go out, sit with the homeless and substance abusers, and be a helping hand—encouraging people toward a better life by sharing her testimony of how she overcame her struggles every day through the power of God. She wanted that for everyone.
She was preceded in death by her father, Alfredo Caudillo. She leaves to cherish fond memories her husband, James Claiborne Jr.; her daughter, Samantha Kaub (Damein); her son, James Claiborne III; her grandson, Damein Johnson Jr.; her mother, Kathy Shasteen; her brother, Benjamin Brewster (Dee); and her sister, Oralia Brewster (Dale), all of whom Vicki loved very much. Vicki leaves behind many sorrowing nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, family members, and dear friends who will miss her dearly.
Victoria will be remembered for her liveliness and child-like spirit, for her fierce and never ending love toward her husband, children, and family, and for her strength to overcome any challenge life brought her way.
The family would like to extend its deepest gratitude to the Brianna Marie Cox Foundation and all donors who made this celebration of life possible.
We all make mistakes, but mistakes are part of your story, not your identity. We could never have changed the outcome of Vicki’s passing. All we can do is learn from this experience and make future decisions that better reflect the lessons we’ve gained and what we wish we had done differently. Self-forgiveness is where healing begins.
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”
