Violet Irene Smith, 90, was born on September 24, 1935, in West Palm Beach, Florida, and passed away on June 3, 2026. Violet will be remembered with deep respect and enduring gratitude for the steady warmth she brought to those around her through a life marked by devotion, gentleness, and care.
Violet was the daughter of Willis Berry Finklea and Thelma Irene Smith Finklea. From her earliest years, the foundation of family remained central, and that sense of closeness and constancy carried through every season of her life.
Violet was married to her loving husband of 72 years, Ellis Smith. Together they built a life defined by loyalty and affection, and Violet’s love extended with equal tenderness to her family and to the many people fortunate enough to know her. She is survived by her son, William Smith; her daughter, Kandy Smith; and one grandson, William Smith Jr.
As those closest to her knew well, Violet was a loving and kind wife, mom and friend—someone whose presence offered reassurance, whose heart made room for others, and whose care was given quietly and faithfully.
