Violette was born in Gonaïves, Haiti to Lamercie Audain and Saul Nader. She had 6 siblings, Andre, Marie Thérèse, Solange, Antoine, Jean Joseph, Carmen, and 3 additional siblings from her father - Mona, Jude and Mimose. She married the love of her life, Carlo Renaud, in1954 and they started their family in Port-Au-Prince. The family immigrated to the United States in 1965, first living in Kansas City, Missouri for 4 years, then moving to New York, living in Brooklyn (where Antonella was born) and settling in Queens. She worked as a secretary at Rockefeller University for several years and as a nanny for over 10 years. In 1997, she and Carlo retired and moved to Lake Worth, Florida.
Her absolute favorite activity was spending time with her family and sharing her wonderful gift of cooking. She also enjoyed listening to music, from Haitian kompa to Nat King Cole, dancing, traveling, watching her favorite soap operas and news shows and reading.
Violette leaves behind her children Claude, Jean Richard, Dominique, and Antonella, their respective spouses, Dominique, Yolène and Alpha, her grandchildren Michael, Francois, Desaleñe, Damani, Armand and Sebastien, her great-granddaughter, Luna, her loving nieces and nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and countless loved ones who became bonus family members throughout her lifetime. She joins Carlo, who has waited in heaven for over 20 years to dance with her again.
