Carmen was my neighbor and friend for many years in Kelseyville.  She will be missed.  My thoughts and prayers to the family. Chris DeSoto

I always enjoyed her floral arrangements at the fair and am so glad she added to the Kelseyville community.  She blessed us all with her family who have her in their hearts forever more.

Carmen was my grandmother's best friend.  Always creative and mischievous, the two would venture out, painting, talking, sharing, and creating imaginative pieces - they were a pair!  The memory of them together always brings a smile to my heart!  I know they are together now, making their new lives a creative endeavor.

Her dedication to the Lake County Fair Floral exibits will be missed greatly.  She was a floral artist!  A great lady!!

I've known Carmen literally all my life.  She put on the baby shower for my Mom when she was pregnant with me.  I'll always remember Carmen's vibrant energy.  She and my Dad were in a dance band together, and I spent many hours at Carmen's house while they were having a jam session.  Carmen also taught me how to water ski.  She was so competent and generous.  I'll miss her!  My thoughts are with Chuck and Jim and their families.

I got to know Carmen after the Lake County Fair began using an online entry system in 2005, and she began bringing her extensive notes into the fair office for assistance in getting her entries in. Often I assisted her myself and sometimes spent a couple of hours sitting with her wading through the notes to make sure we got exactly the right flowers and arrangements entered, and it was always an enjoyable interaction. She would tell me about historical activities in the county and at the fair, and, while she could be quite firm in her opinions, I always found the time to be quite well spent. I'll miss her.

I always felt lucky to have Carmen as my neighbor, everybody should be so fortunate. I loved her, she was full of life and had wonderful stories to tell. May she have a wonderful place up in heaven, I'll never forget her.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

I remember Carmen playing for our dances at Kelseyville back in the 50s. She was a real sweetheart of a lady.
