Mabel Rosetta (Davis) (Korell) Lovell

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Oregon Trail Memorial Cemetery in Bridgeport with Pastor Jonathan Seng officiating.

She was born April 29, 1920 on a farm between Minatare and Bayard, Nebraska, to Rubin Henry Davis and Millie R. (Williams) Davis.  Mabel attended grade school at District 25. Then one year at Distict 24 and 2 years in Melbeta, Nebraska.  She attended high school in McGrew, NE. where she graduated in 1938.

Mabel married Lesley J. Korrell (Soupy) on June 2, 1940.  They had a daughter, Glenda.  They lived in Bridgeport, Nebraska until 1959.  They then moved to Alliance.  Mr. Korell passed away in 1968.

Mabel moved to Denver, CO in June, 1969. She worked in a ladies dress shop at Cinderella City.  She later worked at a bank in Westminster, Colorado.  Mabel was married to Guy Lovell on July 15, 1972 in Arvada, CO.  Guy Lovell passed away August 21, 1985 in Arvada.  She moved into Pointe Frontier, Cheyenne, WY.

She is survived by a daughter, Glenda L. Roberts of California; 2 grandchildren, Carolyn and Jerald; step children Margo and husband, Gayle Wentling and their son, Chad of Billings, MT.  She is survived by many wonderful and loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, Arvin, Tom, Ward and Norman Davis, 2 sisters, Avis (Davis) Baker and Ina (Davis) Johnson, and step son, Guy Lovell, III.
