Ellie was born on October 8th, 1924 to Nicholas Pepping and Nellie Kuntz. She was raised in Edgewater Colorado and attended Edgewater High School. After graduation she went to work in the factories making materials for the war effort. During this time, Ellie developed a love for big band jazz while dancing to the music of Glen Miller and Benny Goodman.
Soon after the war she met Thomas (Tom) SerVoss and they wed in January of 1947, going on to have five children, Pam, Toby, Steve, Chris, and Dave.
Tom and Ellie went into business for themselves and ran SerVoss Greenhouse, Mile High Wholesale Florists, and 70th Ave Flower Shop for 50 years. When she had time she liked going to the mountains, drive-in movies, and Bronco games. She even attended Superbowl XXI in 1987 to see the Broncos take on the Giants in Pasadena. In retirement Ellie enjoyed traveling to visit her children and grandchildren who had moved throughout the West – spending time in Montana, Wyoming, and Alaska.
Ellie was predeceased by her husband Tom, her daughter Pam, and her son Toby. Ellie is survived by her children Steve, Chris, and Dave as well a plethora of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great grandchildren.
