Elizabeth Udell Woodall, 1931 – 2017. Born in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, on July 8, 1931, Elizabeth was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, dedicated employee, and world traveler. Daughter of Hallie Mae and Oakley Sams, Elizabeth grew up in E-Town with three siblings (Curtis, Dorothy, and Marion). She married at the age of 17 to Robert "Bob" Woodall, and together with their children they moved to Denver, Colorado, in 1963. Over the years, they also called San Diego, California, their home. She spent her life's career as a purchasing agent for several well-known organizations including Ft. Knox, Fitzsimmons Army Medical Base, and Sea World San Diego. After the death of Bob, her husband and partner of more than 40 years, Elizabeth lived a full, independent life, following her adventurous spirit to places around the world where she always wanted to go. She toured such grand destinations as China, Paris, London, Egypt, the Mediterranean, and the Caribbean. Family was a big part of Elizabeth's life. She had 7 children (Carol Sue, Sharon Renee, Cathy Roberta, Steven Joseph, Teresa Lynn, Laura Ann, and Kristina Lee), 13 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. Elizabeth passed away peacefully in the Lord's company on Thursday afternoon, January 26, 2017. Mom, you will be missed.
