Felipe Moises Medina

November 21, 1934 – November 20, 2025

Felipe Moises Medina, 90, of Denver, Colorado, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025, at The Denver Hospice. Born on November 21, 1934, in New Mexico to Manuelita Deatocha Medina and Polito Cordova, Felipe lived a long, full, and spirited life rooted in family, pride, and resilience.

Felipe was a man known and loved by many. Tough yet warm-hearted, hardworking, and endlessly giving, he carried a charisma that drew people in. He had a playful, flirtatious sense of humor and a smile that made others feel welcome. He took great pride in his heritage and especially cherished being from Taos, New Mexico.

A man of many talents, Felipe loved playing pool, fishing, working on cars, and taking on carpentry projects. His hands were always busy—fixing, building, and creating. He passed down his skills and passions to his children, teaching them how to repair cars, fish, and care for their homes with the same dedication he embodied. His home and family were the center of his world, and he gave to others freely, never hesitating to offer help where it was needed.

Felipe is survived by his Sister Lydia Cordova and brother Joe Gonzales; his children: Phillip O. Medina, Rosemary P. Rivera, Moses Medina, and Steven Victor Medina; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom carry his strength and spirit forward. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jennie Medina, daughter, Debra Medina, and siblings, Tony Medina and Helen Gonzales.

Felipe’s legacy is one of love, resilience, generosity, and unwavering pride in where he came from. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those whose lives he touched.

A visitation will be held on December 2, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Advantage Runyan-Stevenson Capitol, located at 6425 West Alameda Ave, Lakewood, CO 80226.

A Celebration of Life will follow at the same venue from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.

The burial will take place at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery, located at 12801 W 44th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm on December 2, 2025.

Pallbearers will be Jose Rivera, Dionicio Rivera, Pedro Medina, Ricky Rivera, Zoezina Medina, and Elijah Price.
