Gene, a dedicated family man and hard worker, always did his absolute best to make those he loved happy and ensured they were taken care of. Although he was undoubtedly a stubborn German man, everything he did was fueled with that love for his family - especially his doggies. It was because of his love for those around him that he was sometimes a little too honest, but his humorous delivery made his harsh honesty easy to digest. Gene's sense of humor could light up a room and make any bad day better.
As his family grieves the loss of such an important pillar, his bright spirit will continue to hold them up as they remember Gene in all of life's simple pleasures. Weather it be a fishing trip, a shared memory over a warm cup of coffee, plate of Orange Jello Salad, or even a peanut butter cookie, they will keep his memory warm in their hearts.
He is preceded by his parents and sisters, and he is survived by his loving wife, Linda, his two daughters, April and Gina Orback, his grandchildren, Devan, Giovanna, and Conner, as well as his great-grandchildren, Kinzley, Lenyxx, and Luxton, and many more friends and family who will forever cherish the mark he left on their lives.
A memorial service for Gene will be held Friday, August 22, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Advantage Runyan-Stevenson Capitol, 6425 West Alameda Ave, Lakewood, CO 80226, followed by a reception from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Rest in Peace, Gene. You are so dearly missed.
