With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Bud on June 22, 2026. Born on December 29, 1948, in North Platte, Nebraska. He lived half of his life in Nebraska and half in Colorado. In reality he always remained a Nebraska Boy at heart. Bud was the son of Hervey Neal Cole and Helen Giknis. He is survived by his brother, Tom Cole; sisters, June Richardson and Barbara Weese. His brother, James Cole preceded him in death. His caring children are Jacquiline Wall; Jamie Cole; and Melissa Cole. Stepchildren; Debbie Stafford; Eric Ortega and Jena Marquez. He cherished and loved many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Bud married the love of his life, Sherry in August of 1994 (31 yrs.) and they lived in Denver, Thornton and Brighton, Colorado. Bud had multiple hobbies as well as a General Class Ham Radio Operator’s license. The entire family enjoyed Bud’s many jokes that he could tell for hours on end. His humor and laughter will be missed and he will be remembered with lots of Love.
A Celebration of Life remembrance will be held at 559 Poppy Drive, Brighton, CO, 80601, on July 26, 2026. The gathering will be between 1:00 and 3:00 pm.
