James (Jim) Cory, who was known as "Denny" in his youth, was a loving - and much loved - husband, father, and grandfather, went peacefully to his heavenly home after comforting visits with family. Born and raised in Ohio, Jim excelled in sports and attended college at Ohio University before serving as an Air Force officer. Jim married Marellan Taylor in 1964 and together they raised a family in Minnesota before moving to Colorado, which remained their home thereafter.
Jim loved the outdoors, especially the mountains, was an avid sports fan, and was known as a caring, thoughtful and generous person. Aside from his wife, Jim is survived by his sister Linda, children Steve, Don and Cathy, grandchildren Katie and Nick, nieces Julie and Vicki, and the spouses, children and grandchildren of many who he cherished as family.
