Jenette Irene Brown, 82, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at her home. She was born September 6, 1942 in Leavenworth, KS, daughter of Carmoletta and Earl Lucas. She graduated from Benton High School, class of 1960. On June 4, 1961, she married John Brown. Most of Jenette's work life was spent as an Administrative Assistant with Brokers International. She was a member of the Boulder First Church of the Nazarene, where she enjoyed volunteering. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and doing water aerobics. Jenette was preceded in death by husband, John D. Brown, her parents, son-in-law, Buddy Gray, brother, Byron Lucas, sister, Annette Towne, and brother, Daniel Lucas. Survivors include: son, Donald (Anita) Brown of Thornton, CO, daughter, Debra Gray of St. Joseph, grandchildren, Shelby Gray of St. Joseph, Ashley (John) Crawley of Holt, MO, Kylie Brown of Thornton, CO, Matthew (Lauren) Brown of Westminster, CO, and Jonna (Wesley) Green of Thornton, CO, great-grandsons, Mikiyle and Damon Crawley, Gavin and Connor Green, sisters-in-law, Karen Lucas of Golden, CO and Karen Brown of CO, and brother-in-law, Gordon Towne of Arvada, CO.
A visitation will be held at Advantage Runyan Stevenson Chapel in Lakewood, CO, from 4:00 PM to 5:45 PM on Friday, February 28th. A memorial will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 10:45 AM, at the Lakewood Church of Nazerine, with internment to follow at noon at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Wheat Ridge, CO. In lieu of flowers, Memorials are requested to "United Cerebral Palsy".
