Joel Casados was born August 8, 1955 in Alamosa, Colorado to Victor Casados and Josephine (Pena) Casados.
Joel was an amazing and loving father, brother, uncle and friend. He loved everything outdoors. Hunting and fishing with his family gave him the most joy. Besides the outdoors he loved cooking, you could not walk out of his house without eating or leaving with food. His family remembers him by laughing, joking, dancing, playing his guitar and his love of bragging about his kids everywhere he went. Joel was a proud veteran. He joined the United States Army, March 20, 1978. He was stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, with the 101st Airborne, 159th Aviation Battalion. He spent 3 years active duty and 10 years in the reserves. He loved his family so much he had an enlarged heart!
