John Robert Boyd

“John Robert Boyd, age 77, of Broomfield, Colorado passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025. John was born in Pennsylvania to Robert and Sarah Boyd on July 21st, 1947. His family recalls him fondly for his patriotism, being a man who always stood up for himself , his family and his country, no matter the risk. His patriotism and love for his country only grew stronger as time went on, and he kept the value he'd gained from serving in the US Navy close to his heart. The only things closer to his heart were his beloved wife, Mary, and their children, Mike (Tyfani) Boyd and Sherrye (Kurt) Fisher, grandchildren Kaitlyn & Brandon, and the many more who loved him just as dearly. Although he leaves them behind for now, his joy and bright spirit will live on through each one of them.

A visitation for John will be held Monday, July 21, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Advantage Runyan-Stevenson Capitol, 6425 West Alameda Ave, Lakewood, CO 80226, followed by a celebration of life from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM.

A committal service featuring military honors will then take place on Monday, July 21, 2025, from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W Kenyon Ave, Denver, CO 80236.

The family then encourages all in attendance of the celebration of life to head back to Advantage Runyan Stevenson Funeral Home for a reception in memory of John.
