87, of Lakewood, passed away November 26, 2013. She was born to the late Pauline and Adolph Weigum in Beulah, North Dakota on April 18, 1926. Survived by her husband, William H. Jurgens, Jr. of Denver, CO; son, Darold Douglas of Denver, CO; sister, Heartha Rheinhart of North Dakota; brother, Clifford Weigum of North Dakota; other nieces and nephews and special friends.
She married Wm. Jurgens, Jr. on October 8, 1991. Leona worked as a beautician. Then she worked for Aetna Insurance in the customer service department as well as the evironmental services department at Porter Hospital.
Leona received many awards at Porter. She liked to watch football, go on long walks, square dance and watch other people. She enjoyed camping, traveling, and boat cruises. Leona belonged to the gypsies and Rocky Mountain Maniacs camping group.
Visitation, Wednesday, December 4 from 5-8 p.m.; Funeral, Thursday, December 5 at 1:30 p.m., both at Advantage Runyan-Stevenson Chapel, 6425 W. Alameda Ave. in Lakewood.
