Lesley Dunker, 74, of Denver, Colorado, passed away on March 7, 2026. Born November 20, 1951, in Denver, Colorado, Lesley was the daughter of Alfred and Annabell VonFeldt. One of nine children, she was her father’s favorite and carried that special place in the family with a steady presence that never went unnoticed.
A generous, devoted, and opinionated woman, Lesley was known for being genuine to a fault—warm, direct, and unapologetically herself. She loved to talk with people, and her outspoken nature drew others in; over the years she made many friends simply by being exactly who she was.
Lesley was a stay-at-home mother and was deeply devoted to her children. She married Jack Dunker, and together they raised a family of nine children. Jack preceded her in death, and after his passing, Lesley began living with her son, Jack, Jr. Family remained at the center of her life, and the weekly Tuesday family dinners—when everyone gathered together—were a cherished tradition that reflected the closeness she worked so hard to maintain.
Lesley’s interests were as steadfast as her loyalty. She loved the Chicago Cubs and never missed a game; once baseball season began, she would watch up to four games a day. She also loved Stephen King books and read at a remarkable pace—often finishing a book a day.
Above all, Lesley’s children and grandchildren were her everything. Fiercely protective and deeply caring, she took care of everything and made it her purpose to ensure her family was safe, supported, and loved. Her legacy is one of devotion, candor, and a generous heart that shaped the lives around her in lasting ways.
Lesley is survived by her children Jeff, Jenny, Jerry, Luke, Adam, Peter, Heather, and Jack Jr. Along with 20 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
