Louise "Lucy" M. Jiron

Louise "Lucy" M. Jiron, age 97, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022. Lucy was born September 23, 1924 in Brussels, Belgium. Louise met and fell in love with Vincent Thomas Smith, they were married and moved to the United States where Louise become a United States citizen.

In 1949, Louise and family moved to to Denver, Colorado where Louise would spend the remainder of her life. In 1977, Louise married Albert Jiron and they together merged their loving families. Louise was a member of Christ on The Mountain Catholic Church in Lakewood, was an amazing mother and grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

Louise is preceded in death by her husband, Albert "Al" Jiron; and step-son, Albert, Jr. She is survived by her children, Katheryn Thistlethwaite, Gregory Smith, and step-daugther, Jorrie Muniz; 9 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of extended family and friends.

A celebration of life will occur Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Advantage Runyan Stevenson, 6425 West Alameda Ave, Lakewood, CO 80226 in the Harry Stevenson Reception Center on the lower level.

Lucy is laid to rest in Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado.
