MARGUERITE LOSACCO, 91, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 surrounded by her family. She was born in Denver on December 23, 1923, and was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Anna Carroll, and sister,
Lillian Mosier. Margie graduated from North High School, and in 1946 married Anthony Losacco. Together they raised a daughter and two sons. A volunteer at Smedley Elementary School, she was also a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Parish and was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. Her faith brought her great strength throughout her life. Family traditions were always very important to her. From Sunday dinners with her children and grandchildren to cooking, baking, and celebrating the holidays together, especially Christmas Eve, she ensured that these remained at the forefront of their lives. She measured her life not by the things she had, but by what she could give - love, generosity, kindness, gratitude and joy. She lived life with tremendous grace, and accepted whatever came her way (good and bad), and never complained. Margie inspired all of us to be better human beings and her presence will be deeply missed and remembered forever. Besides her devoted husband Anthony, she is survived by her daughter, Ellen, and sons, Alan and his wife Diana, and Craig and his wife Trudi; cherished grandchildren Janel , Todd, Melissa, Neil, Kristin, Kelly, and Melanie; loving great-grandchildren Casey, Jade and Ronan; sister Virginia Gross, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to give special thanks to her doctors and nurses at University Hospital, and all of her caregivers at the State Veterans Community Living Center at Fitzsimmons for their dedication and compassion. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 5, 2015, at St. Catherine of Siena Parish 4200 Federal Boulevard. Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Wheat Ridge. Per the family, donations should be sent to St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church; 4200 Federal Boulevard, Denver, Colorado 80211. 303-455-9090, Contact Lori O'Connor.
