
Patsy Subia Ayala, 83, of Denver, Colorado, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2014. She was born in Mooreville, Texas, to Benito Garcia Subia and Isabel Rodriquez on May 13, 1931. She was raised in Texas and Oklahoma. She graduated from Binger Public School before she moved to Denver, Colorado where she worked as a Nurse’s Aide for over 30 years and retired from St. Joseph Hospital. She also worked for the Up John Company doing in home care.
Patsy loved to do crochet, to read, do crossword puzzles and she loved animals of all types. She loved to go for walks and had a daily routine that covered her neighborhood.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Felix and Joe and by her sister Mary. She is survived by her sons, Michael and Patrick. Her step-mother Pauline, sisters Caroline Martinez, Delores Subia Bigfoot and Myrna Lee, and her brothers Ronald, Ralph, Richard and John Ellery and their families with numerous nephews and nieces.
The viewing will be at the Advantage Runyan Stevenson Chapel, 6425 W. Alameda Ave, Lakewood, CO 80226, on Sunday, December 28th, from 5 pm to 7 pm with a Rosary at 7 pm.
The Funeral service will be at All Saints Catholic Church, 2559 South Federal Blvd, Denver, CO 80219 on Tuesday December 30th. There will be a viewing from 9 am to 10 am with the services starting at 10 AM. There will be a reception following the services at 11 am in the parish hall.
