Peggy Lee Lishner went to her eternal home after a brief illness on August 1, 2026, in Arvada, Colorado, surrounded by the love of her family. Peggy was born on November 23, 1958, in Basin, Wyoming, to Betty J. Winterholler (Hallcroft) and Melvin R. Winterholler. She was the second of five children and remained deeply proud of
her Wyoming roots.
She fondly remembered growing up in Basin, where she enjoyed playing the clarinet and piano, teaching Sunday school, volunteering as a candy striper, winning the Big Horn County spelling bee, and working at the Big Horn County Library, where her lifelong love
of reading began.
After graduating from high school, Peggy moved to Colorado to attend Mile High College of Court Reporting. While attending court reporting college she worked at LaBelle’s where she
met the love of her life, Ron Lishner. The two were married on July 30, 1983, and shared 43 wonderful years of marriage.
Peggy worked as a court reporter throughout her career, later freelancing while raising her children, Ryan and Kaylee. She treasured being present for school events, holidays, and
everyday family moments. After retiring from court reporting, she enjoyed working at Bemis Public Library in Littleton, combining her love of books with serving her community.
Peggy expressed her love through hospitality and tradition. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, cooking, and baking, especially homemade pies, pizzelles, and her beautifully prepared holiday
meals. Her home was always welcoming, and she delighted in creating special memories for those she loved. Her greatest joy was being "Grandma" to Logan, Rosie, and Millie. Whether making her famous chocolate Mickey Mouse waffles or simply spending time together, her grandchildren brought immeasurable happiness to her life.
Peggy is survived by her devoted husband, Ron Lishner; her children, Ryan (Tami) Lishner and Kaylee Lishner (Conrad Bishop); her beloved grandchildren, Logan, Rosie, and Millie; her
siblings, Janet Tharp (Terry) and Mike Winterholler (Colleen); her sisters-in-law, Roberta Lishner and Janna Lishner; her mother-in-law, Rosalie Lishner; and many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Betty Winterholler; her sisters, Sherry Mowery and Carol Ann Winterholler; her nephew, Benjamin Roice and father-in-law Robert
Lishner.
Peggy will be remembered for her gentle spirit, quiet strength, steadfast faith, and unwavering love for her family. Her kindness and the traditions she created will continue to live on in the
hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Eternal Life for Peggy Lee Lishner will be held on August 12, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church Southwest Campus, located at 10304 W. Belleview Ave in Littleton, CO, 80127.
