Ralph Joseph Blankenship, 79, of Arvada, Colorado, passed away on Saturday, February 1st, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 28th, 1945, in Long Island, New York, to Ralph Wilson Blankenship and Florence Gertrude Hoffman. He was raised in Bedford, Virginia, and after moving to Colorado, married his beloved wife, Judy, in Arvada, Colorado, July 2nd, 1988.
Ralph was a proud United States Army veteran, serving as a communications specialist in the Vietnam War. Ralph enjoyed cultivating his vegetable garden each year, going up the hill, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Judy, sister, Susan Blankenship, children, Shanda Zavalsky (Skip), Ray Hartman (Melinda), Eric Blankenship (Lisa), Jennifer Langfield (Scott), grandchildren, Kara Langfield, Kellan Burkholder (Michael), Hannah Anderson (Trenton), Lia Zavalsky, Catie Hartman, Gerrit Hartman, step-grandchildren, Samantha Diaz (Carlos), Colton Robinson (Angelique), and great-grandchildren, Lacy Burkholder, Tate Anderson, Grayson Burkholder, Raphael Diaz, Diego Diaz, and Aeri Robinson.
