January 7, 1973 – October 5, 2025
Richard Diaz, born on January 7, 1973, in Denver, Colorado, was called to his eternal home on October 5, 2025. He was the beloved son of Estela Garcia Diaz and Hermenegildo Diaz Luevano, and the cherished brother of Ramon Diaz, Daniel Diaz, Gilbert Diaz, Julia Diaz, and Irma Venegas. Richard was a loving grandfather to Aliviya Romero and Orlando Jr Santillana.
Affectionately known as “Pulga,” Richard was a die-hard Denver Broncos fan who loved to dance and make everyone laugh. Music was his heartbeat—especially Mexican music—and he was an incredible dancer. He could dance with anyone and everyone, but cumbias and Return of the Mack were his absolute favorites.
Richard was funny—really funny. He had a gift for teasing his many nieces and nephews, always insisting that everyone call him “Uncle Richard.” He was a devoted father to his three children: Christina Diaz, Richard Junior Diaz, and Michael Diaz.
Known lovingly as “Mr. Clean,” Richard took great pride in everything he did. His home was always spotless, his clothes perfectly pressed (even his boxers!), and his creases sharp. His laughter was contagious, and he found humor and joy in everything and everyone around him.
Richard loved deeply and unconditionally, and his family and friends loved him just the same. We take comfort in knowing he is now with our Lord, reunited with his brother Ramon and his beloved daughter “Gugus,” whom he missed so dearly.
Though our hearts ache, we are thankful for the countless memories and videos that capture his dancing, his smile, and the light he brought into every room.
Oh, how we will miss you, Richard!
Noooooo Daaddddyyyy!
