Rose Mary Martinez

January 9, 1933 – February 15, 2025

Rose was born on January 9, 1933, to Bernardita Vigil-Hurtado and Miguel (Mike) Hurtado; Rose passed away peacefully and in faith at home surrounded by her loved ones at the age of 92, on February 15, 2025.

Rose was a Denver, Colorado native and was one of ten children. Preceded in death by her parents Bernardita and Mike Hurtado; brothers and sisters Alfred Hurtado, Joe Hurtado, Mary (Alice) Hurtado-Armijo, Donald Hurtado, Wilfred (JoJo) Hurtado-Romero, Victoria (Vicki) Hurtado, her husband Max Martinez, Sr., three of her beloved children Maxie Martinez, Roberta Kim Martinez and Sherry Lynn Martinez and her Grandson Baby Ricky Martinez.

Rose and Max Martinez were blessed with Maxie Martinez, Roberta Kim Martinez, Sherry Lynn Martinez and Ricky Martinez and together they served the Lord and supported their community through their Church and Faith.

Apart from her work in the community Rose enjoyed gardening, playing cards, Chinese checkers, doing crossword puzzles, watching movies, spending time with her family and most importantly reading her bible daily and spending time with the Lord.

Rose is survived by her beautiful family who she cherished, Ricky Martinez, Natalee Molly Martinez, Willie Devonte Thomas. Veronica Renal Martinez, Seth Michael Martinez, Jocelyn Caley Martinez. Paul Ronald Anthony Martinez. Jeremy Max Martinez, Zyanya Adara Martinez, Valentine Olivia Martinez, Louisa Dair Wolff-Martinez. Justin Lee Gallegos, David Anthony Wilson. Ashley Rose Mendias, Jacob Michael Santistevan, Scarlette Isis Sunny Anne Santistevan-Mendias; Debra Ann Mendias. Alexis Nicole Martinez and Robert Ramon DeHerrera, Shirley Daniella DeHerrera, Robert Ramon DeHerrera, Jr., and Santos Maximiliano DeHerrera, Evelyn Hurtado, Mary Adeline Hurtado-Chavez, Theodore (Ted) Hurtado, his wife Rosemarie Hurtado, and Margaret Hurtado-Leos.

Rose was deeply loved will forever be missed by all her nieces, nephews, family and friends left behind.
