

He was born on May 27, 1926 in Rochester, New York and was the youngest of five children. He was a proud World War II Navy Veteran. He was also a man of many talents; a restaurateur and a professional boxer and very well travelled. He came to Denver in 1968 where he eventually started his own car dealership and auto detailing business.
He loved his family and in turn was loved and adored by everyone who knew him. His many passions included the love of the outdoors, cars, his pets, and playing cards; especially solitaire and gin rummy.
We will honor and carry you in our hearts and memories for all time, and we will keep your memory alive with every story we share!
Salvatore is survived by his daughter Nadean Schneider and son in law Russ Schneider; his daughter Denise Sortino; his grandchildren Kimberly Evert, Malcolm Schneider, Samual Schneider, Virginia Schneider, Ronald Frey Jr., and Jennifer Frey; a great grandson Gabriel Flores-Centeno; his daughters of the heart Victoria Trujillo and Carolyn Karrh; and beloved fur baby Daisy Sortino, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Salvatore is predeceased by his parents Nicholas and Frances Sortino; his loving wife Nancy Sortino; his brother Joseph (Josephine) Sortino; Sisters Concetta Sortino, Connie (Mike) Gualtieri, and Mary Fox; Sons Nicholas Sortino and Salvatore Sortino Jr. and a great granddaughter Benni Schneider.
