Though her long battle with cancer took its toll on her life, we know Sherry would want to be remembered for her captivating energy and beauty that would unapologetically fill each room she entered. She was never afraid to stand up for what she believed in and spent time in her younger years advocating for those in need during the civil rights movement and carried her strong beliefs in favor of equality and democracy as time passed.
Sherry's largest passion in life was music. Whether it was dancing, singing, or bathing her grandchildren in the joy of Broadway musicals with family trips to the theatre in Downtown Denver, her family knew one thing: if there's music playing, Sherry was bound to start singing - capturing the spotlight no matter the occasion.
Through all of life's ups and downs, Sherry loved her family above all else. She leaves behind her two daughters Lisa Stickle and Laura Turner, her grandchildren, Candace Lemoine, Jenna Turner, and Sarah Talmadge, her great-granddaughter Arraya, sister Val Annibal, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends she held dear to her heart.
She joins the heavenly side of the many friends and relatives who have gone before her. May you continue to rest in eternal peace, Sherry. You are forever loved and deeply missed.
A celebration of life and reception for Sherry will be held Friday, October 24, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Advantage Runyan-Stevenson Chapel, 6425 West Alameda Ave, Lakewood, CO 80226.
