Shirley was a Denver Native, spending all 77 years in Denver, CO. She graduated from Denver Public Schools, attending many central Denver area schools. She loved makeup and hair and worked for a local mortuary for several of her younger years, caring for departed loved ones and making sure they looked good for their final farewell. She also worked for many years as a machine operator at Denver Businesses including Frito Lay. She was an extremely hard worker, with a strong mental character and work ethic.
When Shirley wasn't working you could find her up the hill at Blackhawk with her family. She loved Bingo, and Denver sports teams. She had a feisty personality, but was as loving as could be. She would give the shirt off of her back to help someone she loved.
Sadly, a bad accident took away Shirley's ability as a beautician. But she never let that stop her from doing what she really loved, being with family. Shirley had raised 4 children by herself and all the time she could spend with them, she would. She adored her granddaughter, and really enjoyed her talks and visits with her brother, extended family and friends.
Shirley joins her son, Manuel Miranda, in heaven. She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Shirelle Miranda and son in law Alex Reyes, who she loved dearly; sons, Nick Romero and Deon Romero; granddaughter, Natalia Miranda Reyes; brother, Albert Barrientos; as well as many extended family members and friends.
Shirley will be celebrated at a gathering on Friday, January 26, 2024 from 2-4PM at Advantage Runyan Stevenson, 6425 W. Alameda Ave. Lakewood, CO 80226. During this time friends and family are encouraged to mingle, share food and beverage and share their memories of Shirley with one another.
