Sophie passed away on August 8, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Denver, Colorado on April 28, 1939, into the arms of Paul & Dolores Maes. She married her beloved husband, Phillip G. Rodriguez, at age 16. Sophie worked very hard and came home to make a homemade meal and take care of her family.
Sophie is survived by her daughters Sandra Maes, Debbie (Bob) LeFebre, Lynn (Joseph) Casados; as well as her grandchildren Bobby LeFebre, Seth LeFebre, Chanel Casados, Ezra LeFebre, and Ashley Casados; her great grand baby Jazmine Casados; her sisters Gloria, Barbara and Diane and brother John, followed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Sophie was preceded in death by her husband Phillip G. Rodriguez, and her son Phillip Rodriguez Jr. and her parents Paul & Dora Maes, her brothers Paul Jr. and Rudy.
Sophie will forever be remembered by her famous cooking, her ability to make you laugh and her contagious spirit. She had the voice of an angel and loved to sing her sweet songs. She taught us to work hard, be dedicated, and only do things if you are going to do them whole heartedly. Sophie was the rock of her family and without her, we suffer a great loss.
