Theresa Elaine Welch (Martinez) aka Therese or Teri of Colorado Springs, CO passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the age of 66. She was born on November 7, 1958, in Denver, CO where she grew up and attended schools in Denver including Elmwood Elementary School, Kepner Junior High School and Abraham Lincoln High School.
Theresa is preceded in death by her parents Juanita (Jaye) and Alfonso (Al) Marquez, her sister Sharon Martinez and nephew Kyle Marquez.
She is survived by her children Philip (Wendy) Martinez and Jon Welch.
Grandchildren Justice and Jakobi Martinez and Alexis Welch.
Sisters and brother: Donna Martinez, Christy Marquez (Marty Varela), Kevin Marquez (Lorelei), and Gina Sanchez, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice for the care and compassion they showed Therese in her final days. We would especially like to thank her nurse Jennifer, CNA Gabby, Social Worker Sydney and Pastor Evan for all the time they spent with us during her care.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at All Saints Catholic Church, 2559 South Federal Boulevard on Monday, July 28 at 10:00 a.m.
Interment to follow at Fort Logan Cemetery, 4400 Kenyon Avenue, Staging Area A.
