

Alan R. Stout, 83, passed away February 20, 2016 at the Whiting Health Care Center. Mr. Stout was born in Frenchtown, NJ, moving to Hollywood, FL for many years before moving to Jersey City and Ocean Township where he raised his family and finally settling in Manchester, NJ. He served in the US Army as a bugler in the Army Band in Japan. He worked as a Technician for Bell Labs in Holmdel, NJ for many years. Alan was the director of the Eatontown Royales Drum and Bugle Corp and was a communicant of St. John’s RC Church in Lakehurst. Mr. Stout was a member of the Westernaires in Leisure Village West. He was an avid Florida sports fan and a talented singer. Alan was known for being the “handyman” and was an accomplished professional wine taster and maker. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother and will be greatly missed by all. Mr. Stout is predeceased by his first wife, Joan Bormida and sister, Joyce Stout. Alan is survived by his wife of 18 years, Judith, children, Debbie Blair, Glen Stout and his wife Tracey, Richard Stout and his wife Sherry and Robert Stout, step children, Catherine Hawkins and Stephen Carelli and his wife Lisa, 17 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 from 2-4 and 6:30-8 pm at the D’Elia Funeral Home Rt. 70 & Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 4pm at the funeral home. Cremation will be held privately. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Alan’s memory to the DEBORAH Heart and Lung Association.
