Savior on November 12, 2021. Al was born to Louis Anthony and Marie Dolores (Bank) on July
31, 1958 in Newark, New Jersey.
Al received his associates degree from the County College of Morris, then went on to graduate
from William Patterson College where he received his bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts.
Al was a gentle soul with a natural ear for music, picking up the bass guitar as a young teenager.
He was never happier than when he performed onstage in the band he joined. In addition to his
love of music, Al was very interested in history and cars. More than anything, however, he
loved his father and visited his house every night for dinner.
Al was predeceased by his mother. He is survived by his father and his father’s partner of 18
years, Ann, his two loving sisters, Connie and Helena, and his three adoring nieces, Marie,
MaryGrace, and Megan.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, and 7:00 to 9:00
pm at the D’Elia Funeral Home on 1300 Vermont Avenue, Lakewood, NJ 08701. Funeral Mass
will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 10:30 am at St. Luke’s Church, Toms River.
Internment to follow at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Montclair.
