Alfred M. DuPlessis

Born in Providence, Rhode Island, he was raised in Queens, NY and lived in Bergen County for 37 years before moving to the Jersey Shore seven years ago.

Alfred attended Queens College and worked for 30 years as a manager for New York Bell in New York City before his retirement.

He served his country from 1952 to 1956 as US Navy veteran.

He was a family oriented man and loved vacationing and spending time with his children, grandchildren and nephew, Alfred DuPlessis and his family.

Alfred is survived by his wife of 59 years, Gerri DuPlessis, a daughter, Susan Darrow and her son, George Darrow, sons; Michael DuPlessis and his wife, Mireya, and Stephen DuPlessis and his wife, Grace, 11 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.

Viewing hours will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at the D'Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Avenue, Lakewood, N.J. A service will be held at 6:30 p.m. during the viewing hours.
