Anne was born on January 25, 1940, in Queens, New York. On September 12, 1964, she married the love of her life, Kenneth F. Kiernan. Together, they shared nearly 62 years of marriage, building a life filled with love, family, friendship, and countless cherished memories.
Anne was a devoted wife, a wonderful mother to her three children, Elizabeth (Brian) Dean, Nancy (David) Medrow, and Kenneth W. (Meredith) Kiernan, and a loving grandmother to her seven grandchildren: Andra, Benjamin, Kathryn, Connor, Kevin, Amelia, and Alexander.
Anne enjoyed a long and fulfilling career with the Herricks Public Schools on Long Island, where she served as secretary to the Superintendent. After retiring, she divided her time between New Jersey and Florida, enjoying the sunshine, time with family and friends, and the many pleasures of retirement.
Anne especially loved bringing people together. She was a wonderful cook and, over the years, co-led many St. Patrick’s Day feasts, making hundreds of delicious Irish soda breads and plates of corned beef. These gatherings are just one of the many ways Anne filled the lives of those around her with warmth, generosity, and joy.
Above all, Anne will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family and for the love, care, laughter, and countless memories she shared with those closest to her. Her kindness and generous spirit touched many lives, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who loved her.
She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
