Annette F Hodges

Annette F. Hodges lovingly known as "Big Nette" or "Nette Nette", passed away January 18th , 2025, after her long-term battle with several illnesses. She was born November 2nd , 1958, at Fitkin Hospital, now Jersey Shore University in Neptune, NJ to the late Alfred F. Hodges and Joan M. Hodges.

Annette F. Hodges, named after the Mouseketeers was raised in Asbury Park where she attended Bangs Ave Elementary and attended Manchester High School. She is a proud graduate of Star Tech Institute with a certification in computer science. She also achieved certification in dentistry. Annette loved education and the many experiences it brought her. An advert card player, with a love for crossword puzzles, suduko, and dominoes. Her favorite song "Go Outside In The Rain" by Milira is a testament, to no matter her adversity in life, she always remained eager to love and was always a loving person. Her favorite movie "The Color Purple" showed how resilient she is when it came to her family bonds. Her dedication to her favorite Jersey Mike roast beef sandwich and beloved sour candy reminds everyone she was a woman of rare taste.

Annette infectious laughter and comedic personality will be missed most of all by her family.

Annette F. Hodges is predeceased by her parents Alfred F. Hodges and Joan M. Hodges. Her brother Alfred F. Hodges, and Sister Karen A. Hodges.

Annette is survived by, and will be missed deeply by her children Ernest F. Hodges "Baam", Anthony T. Hodges "Troy", Toia M. Hodges, Yolanda J. Hodges, Annette E. Hodges "Lil Nette", Rosetta A. Hodges, Tyrone M. Foreman. 24 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren. Her loving siblings Darlene M. Dupont, Anthony Carey, Craig S. Hodges, Alesia D. Gunter, Angela D. Dillard. 14 Nieces and Nephews and her loving companion Willie Mchellon.

A memorial gathering for Annette will be held Sunday, February 2, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at D'Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Ave, Lakewood, NJ 08701, followed by a memorial funeral service from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM.
