Annette was born in the Bronx, NY on July 16, 1941. She was the daughter of Ralph and Angelina Chicco (née Maioriello). After being raised in the Bronx, Annette was a resident of Oak Ridge, NJ for 28 years before moving to the Fairways at Lake Ridge in Lakewood, NJ in 1999. After her husband Larry’s passing in 2016, she moved to Wall Township to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren.
Annette was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a devout Catholic who found peace in saying the Rosary daily. She built a career as a secretary, but her greatest joy was found in caring for her family. Annette made sure anything and everything that needed to be taken care of was accomplished. If you ever needed anything, she would be right on it, making lists and running errands to get the job done! She was an exquisite cook who enjoyed making delicious meals and planning parties for her family and friends. Cooking shows and finding new recipes were a passion of hers, along with decorating, sewing, and making beautiful creations that reflected her talent and style.
Annette is survived by her loving daughter, Lauren Greco, cherished grandchildren Paul and Michelle Greco, favorite granddog, “Cannoli”, caring sister, Carmela Valentine of MA, and devoted best friend since childhood, Anita DeSisto of CA.
She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 57 years, Lawrence Anthony Torro, parents Ralph and Angelina Chicco, cherished sister-in-law, Rose Marrazzo and her husband Vincent, in-laws Richard and Nicoletta Torro and a brother-in-law, Ronald Valentine, Sr. Annette also leaves behind cousins, nieces, nephews, and many wonderful friends with whom she shared memorable and cherished times with. She will be sadly missed.
A sincere and heartfelt thank you to Carmela “Ci Ci” Caravello, Hospice RN and Betty Hahn, Hospice Aide for their compassionate and gracious care for Annette. She was so grateful and loved you both!
