Arlene Harriet Mintz, of Lakewood, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 19, 2022. She was exactly 81 1/2 years old to the day.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at D’Elia Funeral Home, Lakewood. Burial will follow at King Solomon Cemetery, Clifton NJ. Yes, that is directly behind the infamous Tick Tock Diner. Arrangements are held under D’Elia Funeral Home.
Arlene was born in the Bronx on July 19, 1940 to Herman & Clara Entin. She attended school in Belleville, NJ and graduated from Douglass College, Rutgers University with a degree in Elementary Education. Arlene spent her teaching career in Wayne, NJ ~ mostly in 4th grade, and finishing in grade 1.
Arlene married Mel Mintz in 1983 and lived the next 4 decades whole-heartedly enjoying life together. Their shared love of travel, golf, Delray Beach, dining out and their 5 children; Helene Wolson of Bradley Beach NJ, Ken Wolson (Megan) of Medford Lakes NJ, Neil Mintz (Tracy) of Seattle WA, Daryl Mintz (Kim) of Morristown NJ and Mark Mintz (Randy) of Woodcliff Lake NJ. The absolute joy of Arlene’s life was her 7 grandchildren — Hannah, Rachel, Kendall, Nathan, Macquire, Jordan + Lucy.
Arlene is predeceased by her parents and her brother Ed Entin. Beloved sister of Jeffrey Entin.
