Arthur Henry Himpele, age 85, of Manchester, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at the Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. He was born on February 4, 1935 in Newark, NJ. Arthur was raised in Union, NJ.

He was a veteran of the Air Force and the Air National Guard. Arthur retired from Chubb & Son, Inc. of Warren, NJ after 30 years of service. He enjoyed golf, baseball, softball, watching old movies, and had a deep affection for shopping on Amazon Prime. Art was a member of the Air Rifle Club in FL.

Son of the late Edith and Arthur Henry Himpele, Sr., he was predeceased by his step-father, Tony Stanislaw.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Marge; 2 children, Artie and his wife Dana and Mike and his wife Tracy; 4 grandchildren, Michael, Nicole, Brianna and Hailey; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Due to the global pandemic, arrangements will be private for the immediate family.

Watching Big Art tell a story at Christmas time. For the entire conversation his pipe never left his mouth. I thought it was some kind of magic. I was a little kid. He was a kind, funny, and loving man whom I had the pleasure of knowing my whole life. My deep condolences to the whole family.
