Arthur D. Lahr

Arthur D. Lahr, 80, passed away October 17, 2013 at his residence in Lakewood. Mr. Lahr was born in Jersey City moving to Roselle for a short time before moving to Union for most of his life where he raised his family and finally settling in Lakewood and Tequesta, FL. He earned a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from The Newark College of Engineering. Arthur worked for the Givaudan Corp as a Production Supervisor for 32 years. He was a past Master of the Masonic Loyalty Lodge #33 and also served as a past Grand Chaplain and was a member of the Salaam Shriners for many years. Mr. Lahr was an avid Mets fan and enjoyed gardening. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all. Mr. Lahr is predeceased by his parents Arthur F. and Ella Lahr. Arthur is survived by his wife of 53 years, Angela, sons, Wayne and his wife Debbie and Ronald and his wife Keika and three grandchildren, Troy, Sophie and Aiden. Friends may call Sunday, October 20, 2013 from 6-9 pm at the D’Elia Funeral Home Rt. 70 & Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701 with a Masonic service at 8PM. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 21, 2013 at 11AM at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
