August Ambrosi, 88, passed away December 2, 2011 at Brick Memorial Hospital. Mr. Ambrosi was raised in the Bronx, NY and moved to Clifton, NJ where he raised his family and settled in Lakewood, NJ for the past 16 years. He served in the US Army during World War II as a medic, his tour was oversees where he served in the Battle of the Bulge. August was the Owner/Operator of the Master Cutlery Service in Nutley, NJ. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed playing cards and loved spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be greatly missed by all. Mr. Ambrosi is survived by his wife of 64 years Constance, four children, Jeanne Forschino, Robert Ambrosi, Nancy Roth, and Gary Ambrosi, nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and four brothers. Friends may call Sunday, December 4, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the D’Elia Funeral Home Rt. 70 & Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. Interment will take place at the Veteran’s Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers please make donations in August’s memory to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
